Barça supporters’ clubs once again played a prominent role during the visit of the women’s team to Mexico. For the third consecutive preseason, the players returned to Mexican soil, where they received enthusiastic support from the peñistas. Peña Azulgrana Tampico Madero and PB Rincón del Barça en México acted as hosts during a training session and the official reception organized by the club. Also present were Penya Virtual Blaugrana and PB Familia Blaugrana Panamá, all of them members of the FCB World Federation.
These gatherings helped strengthen the ties between the club and its international supporters’ clubs, which continue to show strong commitment to the Barça femení project. The unconditional support of these penyes reflects the growth and consolidation of a team that has become a global benchmark.
An official reception was also held, attended by Elena Fort, vice-president of the club, and Xavier Puig, board member responsible for Barça femení. During the event, the role of the penyes as ambassadors of Barça fandom around the world was highlighted, and their presence and constant support were warmly acknowledged.
The Match: A high point for the supporters
The second match of the tour, played against Club América in Mexico City, featured a strong presence of peñistas. In addition to the previously mentioned supporters’ clubs, PB Totes Unides Fem Força also attended, traveling specifically to cheer on the team in this final preseason test. The penyes supported the team passionately throughout the match, helping drive them to victory.
