The Confederació, through its supporters’ clubs and territorial federations, joins this cause to expand its reach and help improve the lives of those affected. The Nica doll, a symbol of hope for thousands of families, begins its solidarity journey across Spain with the aim of raising awareness and supporting the fight against rare diseases. This initiative, led by Hospital Sant Joan de Déu and the Spanish Federation for Rare Diseases (FEDER), seeks to raise funds to expand access to advanced genetic studies through the Únicas network, which already serves more than 30,000 children across the country.
Each Nica doll carries a QR code that allows people to learn the story of the family circulating it and make donations. The project is backed by organizations committed to social impact and supported by groups actively involved in solidarity causes.
Among them is the Confederació Mundial de Penyes, which joined FEDER thanks to the ongoing work of its CSR commission. FEDER is chaired by Juan Carrión, who is also president of the Federación de Peñas de Múrcia and the PB Totana. This connection fosters regular collaboration between the supporters’ clubs and awareness-raising actions about these diseases, highlighting the solidarity values that define Barça fandom. The Confederació already supported FEDER on Rare Disease Day, last February 29.
