The Federació Lleida Sud i la Franja has been recognized by the Segrià Blood Donors Association for its commitment to blood donation in the Lleida counties. The president of the federation, Claudi Bosch, received the distinction as part of the Lleida Blood Donor Marathon, which took place last week at the City of Lleida Conference Center. Bosch actively participated as a volunteer in this initiative, which collected nearly 500 blood and plasma donations over two days.
This recognition highlights the involvement of the various supporters’ clubs within the Federació Lleida Sud i la Franja in the blood donation drives organized in their municipalities, both through volunteer work and by promoting the events among the local population. Throughout the year, penyes such as PB Torres de Segre, PB Alpicat, PB Puigverd de Lleida, PB Rosselló, PB Sudanell, PB Alcarràs, and PB Seròs organized by the Associació de Donants del Segrià in their respective towns.
Commitment to Blood Donors
Each year, the Confederació Mundial de Penyes del FC Barcelona, through its CSR Subcommittee, joins the celebration of World Blood Donor Day, held on June 14. This commitment is reflected in actions like those of the penyes in the Federació Lleida Sud i la Franja, as well as others such as PB Solsona i Comarca (Fed. Ponent Nord), which organizes a summer blood donation campaign in its town, or PB Contestana (Fed. Comarques d’Alacant), which has successfully held donation drives for two consecutive years. Additionally, PB Ripollet (Fed. Vallès) organizes monthly donation events, led by its president Joan Giménez.
