The Federación de Peñas Barcelonistas de Málaga y Provincia, which belongs to the Federación de Peñas de Andalucía, Ceuta y Melilla, recently visited Ojén (Málaga) in anticipation of the upcoming formalization of the town’s new supporters’ club. The delegation from the Federación de Málaga was led by its president, Joaquín Solís, accompanied by Diego Peral, the federation’s secretary; Lola Mellado, president of PB Málaga; Francisco Javier Carrasco, president of PB Corazón Culé de Málaga; and Juan José Almagro, former FC Barcelona player.
During their visit, the members of the Federación de Peñas de Málaga y Provincia gave an informational talk at Ojén’s Town Hall as part of the presentation and formalization process of the newly created Barça supporters’ club. They also offered the penya their advice and support on matters such as documentation, space, and operational guidance. This penya from Ojén is expected to officially join the growing Barça penyes movement in Málaga province, and Andalusia as a whole, soon.
The Federation as a driving force behind the penyes movement
The Federación de Peñas de Málaga y Provincia is carrying out these informational talks across all towns in the province where there’s no Barça supporters’ club as of today. In doing so, the federation highlights the importance of its role in promoting the creation of new penyes, supporting them throughout the entire process, and helping expand the “culer” spirit across the province of Málaga. This also underscores the work of all territorial federations as promoters and key pillars of the penyes movement within their respective regions.
