The “Llegendaris” event leads the 20th anniversary of PB Luxembourg

The anniversary of the Luxembourg supporters’ club ended up becoming a big meeting of Barça penyes, with 120 attendees and the in-person or online participation of more than 40 entities

The “Llegendaris” conference-event was presented for the first time at a supporters’ club of the FCB World Federation, specifically at the Penya Barça de Luxemburg. The event was the centerpiece of the celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the Luxembourg entity, led by Jordi Gairin, president of the penya and also of the Casal Català de Luxemburg. With approximately 120 attendees and the participation—either in person or online—of more than 40 penyes, the event held at the Festsal auditorium in Olm (15 minutes from the capital) unexpectedly turned into a true Meeting of European Barça Penyes. All attendees enjoyed a review of FC Barcelona’s sporting history during the 20th century, featuring top-level guests.

“Llegendaris” was hosted by the vice president of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes, Salva Torres, and was divided into seven parts, each with its respective protagonists in chronological order: Xavier Gamper, Carles Rexach, Ramon Alfonseda, Tente Sánchez, Ricardo Serna, and once again Carles Rexach, this time as first-team coach. Each part began with a historical introduction by Salva Torres, followed by interviews conducted by Queralt Arias and Aksana Vayevoda. The seventh and final part was an emotional tribute and remembrance of Joan Casals, l’Avi del Barça. In total, it was nearly three hours of pure Barça spirit, anecdotes, laughter, and even a few tears, leaving everyone with a great impression thanks to the staging and dynamism of the event.

A meeting point for penyes across Europe

A total of 17 penyes were present at the event; eight of them from Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, and the Valencian Community, and the rest from countries such as France, Germany, Belgium, or the Netherlands, led by the president of the FCB World Federation, Antoni Freire. In addition, another 24 penyes joined in by recording videos that were shown and warmly applauded during the final part of the celebration.

Furthermore, there was a greeting video from the president of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes, Antoni Guil, as well as the congratulations from Toni Valverde, president of the Fed. Bages, Berguedà i Cerdanya; Sisco Pinyol, vice president of the Fed. Terres de l’Ebre; Juansa Martí, president of the Fed. Castelló; Josep Ramon Casas, president of the Fed. Madrid; Claudi Bosch, president of Fed. Lleida Sud i La Franja; and David Falgàs, president of the Fed. Empordà i Catalunay Nord. The federations of Vallès and Valencia i Marina Alta, along with other penyes, also joined in congratulating PB Luxembourg.

Commemorating the 20th anniversary of Penya Barça Luxembourg

The day before the “Llegendaris” presentation, the celebrations for PB Luxembourg’s 20th anniversary had already begun with a reception for all guests and event participants at the penya and Casal Català premises. There was also a visit to Luxembourg’s Christmas Market and a joint viewing of the match between Betis and Barça. Additionally, the blaugrana guests were treated to various guided tours of Luxembourg City during their four-day stay. They were warmly welcomed, spending plenty of time signing shirts, photos, scarves, and posters for both adults and children.

Special mention should be made of the collaboration of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes at the event, providing replicas of the La Liga and Copa del Rey trophies, as well as the PB Nancy board, which brought a replica of the Champions League trophy. All of this contributed to the great success of the event.
