On October 1st, the Penya Barcelonista of Muscat was officially recognized by FC Barcelona, becoming the first official penya in Oman. To celebrate the occasion, the blaugrana entity organized a special ceremony at their usual meeting place, which was attended not only by their members but also by other notable guests. The Omani supporters’ club invited several sports figures from their country, including former players from the national football and handball teams. Other supporters’ clubs from Oman representing Real Madrid, Inter Milan, and Arsenal also took part in the event, highlighting PB Muscat’s spirit of fair play and respect. The celebration included a screening of the match between Barça and Olympiakos, allowing attendees to enjoy a great Barça victory.
During the ceremony, PB Muscat also unveiled its new brand image. The redesigned logo blends the blaugrana colors with symbols of Oman, merging the identity of FC Barcelona with local culture. Founded in 2017, the PB Muscat aims to bring together all Barça fans in the city and build an active community around the penya, not just for watching matches together, but also for hosting events and launching community initiatives. The supporters’ club maintains a special bond with other Middle Eastern penyes such as PB Baghdad, PB Kuwait, and PB Doha. A new demonstration that Barça passion unites fans all over the world.
