The PB Santiago de Xile and the PB Nicolau Casaus de Buenos Aires met the Barça Legends

The two South American supporters’ clubs welcomed the Barça Legends in Buenos Aires on the occasion of the match they played against River Plate Leyendas

Just as it happened in India and Mexico last April, the Barça supporters’ clubs once again acted as hosts for a new appearance by the Barça Legends. This time, it was in Buenos Aires, where the blaugrana legends traveled to face the River Plate Leyendas team. It was the Legends’ first visit to Argentina, and the Penya Barcelonista Nicolau Casaus de Buenos Aires didn’t miss the chance to be part of such a special occasion for the local culers. Some members of the Penya Barcelonista de Santiago de Xile also made the trip, traveling from their country despite the short notice with which the match date was announced.

Meeting with the players and support at the stadium

On the morning of the match, members of PB Nicolau Casaus and PB Santiago de Xile were welcomed at the hotel where the Barça Legends were staying. The supporters had the chance to spend some time with notable names such as Albert Ferrer, Gaizka Mendieta, Frank and Ronald De Boer, Phillip Cocu, Sergi Barjuan, Giovanni da Silva, Samuel Okunowo, and Gerard López, among others. All of them signed shirts and other Barça memorabilia, and even the legendary Txema Corbella presented a gift to the attending supporters. It was a very pleasant and emotional atmosphere for Barça fans.

Afterward, PB Nicolau Casaus and PB Santiago de Xile shared the pre-match moments, highlighting the unity among Barça fans that the penyes movement promotes. In fact, the Chilean supporters emphasized the warm welcome from their Argentine counterparts and presented them with their penya’s pennant and other commemorative items. Finally, the supporters made their way to the Estadio Mâs Monumental, the venue of the match, where they couldn’t celebrate a Barça victory but thoroughly enjoyed watching the blaugrana legends on the pitch. It was an unforgettable day for PB Nicolau Casaus and PB Santiago de Xile, who also strengthened the already strong ties within the South American penyes community.
