The Penya Barcelonista de Santiago de Xile, part of the FCB World Federation, celebrated its 20th anniversary with a special event held at a local venue in the city. The Chilean entity, which became fully official a year ago, brought together more than 70 people to commemorate two decades of Barça spirit in the South American country, where it has become a leading ambassador of blaugrana passion and values. Jordi Castellà, president of PB Santiago de Xile, led the event, which united culers from different generations to review the 2024–25 season and look ahead to the one that has just begun.
The celebration also stood out for its historical perspective, thanks to an exhibition of various items donated by Vicente Terroba, a member of the penya who has been collecting all kinds of FC Barcelona-related memorabilia for over 30 years. Attendees were able to view blaugrana shirts from different eras, football boots, gloves, trophy replicas, publications, and other items. In this way, PB Santiago aimed to honor the Barça legacy that precedes a present moment filled with excitement.
A very active penya
The PB Santiago de Xile has maintained a high level of activity throughout its 20-year history. In recent months, its presence at several first-team matches has stood out, as well as the bonds it has fostered with many other Barça supporters’ clubs around the world. Last July, it made a special trip to Buenos Aires to support the Barça Legends during their visit. Gestures like this highlight the deep blaugrana passion that PB Santiago de Xile has spread throughout its country over the past two decades—and will continue to do so in the years to come.
