Following the severe floods that affected the island of Sumatra (Indonesia) at the end of last November, the Penya Barcelonista Indobarça launched a fundraising campaign to help the affected population. Recently, a representative of the penya handed over a check worth 16,795,500 Rp (€850) to the Indonesian Red Cross. Most of this amount will be directed to the Sumatra region, with the rest going to Aceh, with the aim of providing resources to Indonesians who have suffered the consequences of this disaster.
In doing so, the Penya Indobarça has once again demonstrated its commitment to helping those who need it most. The penya expresses its gratitude to all members and friends who made donations and joined this important humanitarian initiative. Actions like this highlight the significance of Barça penyes in building communities that, beyond football passion, play a significant social role when it comes to joining forces for solidarity causes.
