The Penya Sang Culé plays a leading role in the tribute to Sergi Panadero

The members of the penya, which are staunch supporters in the Palau Blaugrana, presented a gift to the former roller hockey player, who thanked them for their support over so many years.

The Penya Sang Culé Cor Català was one of the main protagonists of the emotional tribute that the Palau Blaugrana dedicated to Sergi Panadero, former player of the FC Barcelona roller hockey section, on Friday 16 May. The members of the penya, unconditional in their support for the Barça sections, wanted to recognise the extensive career of Panadero, who retired at the end of June last year after 21 seasons wearing the blaugrana shirt and a total of 68 titles won. That is why the Penya Sang Culé Cor Català became an active part of this special day for the roller hockey section.

The tribute was held after the end of the first game of the OK Liga play-offs, where the culer team earned a hard-fought victory against Pas Alcoi. After the retirement of the shirt with Panadero’s number 9 and the protocolary speeches, the members of the Penya Sang Culé Cor Català were able to share a few moments with the former player. Wearing a t-shirt with a special design for the occasion, the supporters presented a gift to Sergi Panadero, who thanked them for their support during these 21 years of success on wheels. Finally, the members of the penya and the former player immortalised the moment together with all the trophies won during these more than two decades as a “blaugrana”.
