The Penya Barcelonista of Sant Adrià de Besòs , part of the Federació Barcelonès Est, organized a weekend packed with activities to commemorate the 40th anniversary of its founding. Deeply rooted in its local community, the penya wanted to involve all its members, the residents of Sant Adrià de Besòs, and other friendly penyes who joined in celebrating this special milestone.
Blaugrana talk and children’s festival
The celebrations began with a talk held at the penya’s headquarters, divided into two parts. The first featured some of the PB Sant Adrià de Besòs members who reminisced about the early days of the entity and recalled memorable moments from its four-decade history. The second part focused on current FC Barcelona affairs and included former Barça players Antonio Olmo and Jordi Ferrón, along with journalists Joan Poquí and Anna Cordovilla. It was an afternoon full of nostalgia that filled the penya’s venue.
The second day of celebrations focused on children, with a festival that energized the entire town of Sant Adrià de Besòs. The penya organized a parade through the streets, featuring the giant figure Noni (on loan from PB Teixonera) and two local giant figures, all accompanied by two percussion groups. The parade ended at Plaça de la Vila, where PB Sant Adrià de Besòs set up a human foosball game and other activities for young attendees, along with a performance group. The penya collaborated with the local council and brought together dozens of children for a morning of fun.
