Youth in the spotlight at the PB Vilamajor’s and the PB Isona i Conca Dellà

The penya from the Federació Vallès held its 5th eSports Tournament, while the entity from the Federació Ponent Nord resumed its summer activities in August.

Once again, the Penya Barcelonista Vilamajor’s (Federació del Penyes del Vallès) reaffirmed its role as a promoter of eSports in its town with the 5th FIFA SAV Tournament. This event, part of the Sant Lleïr Festivities, was a great success in terms of organization and participation, with a total of 40 players, all of them young people aged between 10 and 18 from Sant Antoni de Vilamajor. The competition took place at Sala El Patronat and once again had the support of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes and the Sant Antoni de Vilamajor Town Council. The tournament was played using the EA FC 25 video game, and its format guaranteed each player a minimum of two matches. All the winners advanced through the knockout rounds until reaching the grand final, which was broadcast on a giant screen.

Throughout the event, the atmosphere was fun and fair play prevailed among all participants, many of whom were returning after having played in previous editions. This year, the tournament champion won a PlayStation 5, a premium prize that highlights the great success of this 5th FIFA SAV Tournament by PB Vilamajor’s. The awards ceremony was led by the penya’s president, Quim Vergés, and the youth technician from the Youth Department of the Sant Antoni de Vilamajor Town Council, Èlia Delgado. Both highlighted the success of the initiative and expressed their intention to hold another edition next year.

Ping-pong and pétanque at the PB Isona i Conca Dellà

Young people also took center stage in Isona i Conca Dellà thanks to a new edition of the summer tournaments organized by the local blaugrana supporters’ club: the Penya Barcelonista Isona i Conca Dellà. On one hand, the penya organized the 8th edition of the U-14 Ping-Pong Tournament and the Amateur Ping-Pong Tournament, which gathered around 20 players in total. The format included an initial group stage followed by knockout rounds leading to the final. On the other hand, the 8th Pétanque Tournament featured around ten participating pairs and followed a nearly identical format. In this case, players of all ages took part, creating a very family-friendly atmosphere.

All summer tournaments by PB Isona i Conca Dellà were held at the municipal swimming pools, with the support of the local Town Council. In each case, the top three finishers received medals presented by the penya’s president, Lluis Isanta. In this way, the supporters’ club from the Federació Ponent Nord strengthens its summer activities, aimed at energizing the town’s youth engagement.
