The Penya Barcelonista Fraga i Comarca “Jaume Pallarés” (Federació Lleida Sud i La Franja) commemorated its 50th anniversary with a celebration in style. The entity, chaired by Agustín Sorolla, organized an intense agenda of activities that generated a great expectation among all the local Barça supporters. The event was attended by a large FC Barcelona delegation headed by president Joan Laporta, who was joined by several members of the board of directors. Also present was the Federació de Penyes Barcelonistes de Lleida Sud i la Franja, headed by its president Claudi Bosch, as well as the Agrupació Barça Jugadors, represented by former player Paco Martínez.
A day to remember
The 50th anniversary celebrations began in the afternoon, with the opening of the new headquarters of the PB Fraga i Comarca “Jaume Pallarés”. There, a commemorative plaque was unveiled, and a tribute was paid to the founding members of the entity. Afterwards, the blaugrana retinue went to the Fraga City Hall, where they were welcomed with a performance of “jotas” and then celebrated an official reception with the presence of the mayor of the Aragonese town, Ignacio Gramunt.
Finally, a gala dinner was held at the Pavelló del Sotet in Fraga, attended by nearly 400 supporters, with a total of 30 penyes represented. During the event, tribute was paid to the widow of Jaume Pallarés, founder of the PB Fraga i Comarca, and a video summary of the 50 years of the entity was shown. In addition, souvenir gifts were distributed to all the penyes in attendance. It was the culmination of a very special day for all the culers in Fraga and its region.
