The youngest culers once again demonstrated their PlayStation skills at the 5th FIFA Tournament organised by the Penya Barcelonista de Sant Joan Despí (Federació de Penyes del Baix Llobregat). This competition, played with the video game FIFA 23, took place last Friday at the Casal de Joves El Bulevard de Sant Joan Despí, an entity with which the penya collaborates on a regular basis. The players ranged in age from 12 to 35 years old. The format of the tournament consisted on two groups and then knockout rounds until the great finale, in which Mario Plazas was the winner. All the matches were played with great excitement and also with clear signs of fair play among all the participants.

Thus, the FIFA Tournament of Penya Barcelonista de Sant Joan Despí repeats the success of the last edition, when it also obtained a very good response among the fans of this popular football simulator. With this activity, the PB Sant Joan Despí is once again getting involved with the local youth and promoting eSports within the penyes movement. Just over a month ago, the Penya Barcelonista Vilamajor’s (Federació del Vallès) also organised its eSports tournament, with the collaboration of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes. Then, there was also a remarkable success of participation among the youngest culers of Sant Antoni de Vilamajor.
