In line with its tradition, the Penya Blaugrana de Montmeló once again organised its futsal marathons at the Pau Casals School Pavilion, in its town. Once again, the organisation of the Federació de Penyes del Vallès showed its commitment to this form of football by bringing together men’s and women’s teams respectively for a long-distance competition in which, as always, there was a good atmosphere and a good level of play among all the participants.
The first to take place, at the beginning of the month, was the IX Women’s 12-Hour Futsal Tournament. Six teams and a total of 60 players took part in it, including some who have participated in competitions with the U-16 Spanish national team.. The PB Montmeló highlighted the excitement and the high quality of the matches. The action started at noon and the final came close to midnight, after an intense day with which the PB Montmeló underlined its commitment to women’s sport.
A week later, it was the turn of the VIII Men’s 24 Hour Futsal Tournament. On this occasion, there were 10 teams and a hundred players, who completed a full day of competition between noon on Saturday and noon on Sunday. As was the case with the women’s edition, the PB Montmeló highlighted the high level and equality between the participating teams, in what was a true celebration of sport in the town of Vallès.
