In recent weeks, several Barça penyes across the territory have been celebrating their respective anniversaries with days full of blaugrana fellowship. Two of them are Penya Barcelonista Joves de Ponent (Federació de Penyes de Ponent Nord) and Penya Barcelonista Plana de Vic (Federació de Penyes d’Osona i Ripollès), which last weekend gathered many of their members for this very special occasion.
Albesa comes together for the 30th anniversary of PB Joves de Ponent
On Saturday, the town of Albesa (Lleida) was decked out in blaugrana to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Penya Barcelonista Joves de Ponent, which organized a full day of activities for the entire town. In the morning, the penya held a card game contest in the “botifarra” modality at its headquarters, where a photo exhibition was also set up to review the entity’s three decades of history thanks to pictures contributed by various members. A vermouth was also served at the same venue.
Later, the popular lunch for the 30th anniversary brought together more than 100 people in a spirit of community throughout Albesa, with the participation of the Town Hall and various local organizations. During the event, the penya, chaired by Carlos Albert Sanmartí, thanked everyone for attending and paid tribute to the former presidents of the entity. Afterwards, PB Joves de Ponent proposed the game “Who is the biggest culé?” to the attendees, challenging them to guess details about historic Barça matches, with edited clips being shown. There were prizes for the winners and a great Barça atmosphere that ended with a final party featuring a DJ.
