A day full of Barça spirit

The XXXI Meeting of Penyes of Terres de l’Ebre began early at 9:00 a.m. with breakfast at the site of the PB Vicenç Piera. From there, the first parade of the day set off, led by the Colla de Gegants of La Ràpita and open to the public, which especially attracted the town’s youngest Barça fans. Later, a reception was held at La Ràpita Town Hall with the presence of Mayor Javier Reverté and some of its councillors, who attended the signing of the city’s guest book by the president of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes, Antoni Guil.

Next, the activities moved to Plaça 1 d’Octubre, where the “BatuXaic” batucada group and the La Ràpita Giants performed. The gala lunch was held just across the street at the Exhibition Pavilion, beginning with traditional speeches by the main figures. A heartfelt tribute was paid to Ramón Fibla for his work with the Federació Terres de l’Ebre and PB Vicenç Piera over the past 40 years. The federation’s board presented him with a commemorative gift. A tribute was also paid to all founding members of the penya. The day concluded with the traditional hanging of ribbons for all the Barça supporters’ clubs present.
