New edition of “Marca-li un Gol a l’Alzheimer!” by PB Sant Cugat

The penya from the Federació Vallès raised more than €450 for the Association of Families of Alzheimer’s Patients of Vallès Occidental

Once again, the Penya Blaugrana Sant Cugat (Federació de Penyes del Vallès) and the Association of Families of Alzheimer’s Patients of Vallès Occidental organized a new edition of the solidarity initiative “Marca-li un Gol a l’Alzheimer!” (“Score a Goal Against Alzheimer’s!”). The event took place at the Can Magí Municipal Football Ground in Sant Cugat and once again saw strong participation, resulting in more than €450 raised and donated entirely to AFA Vallès. The event was once again sponsored by Feliu Franquesa Real Estate and Legal Services, with the collaboration of the Sant Cugat City Council.

High participation and great prizes

Once again, each participant purchased a solidarity ticket to take two penalty kicks against the goalkeepers from the U15 team of the PB Sant Cugat-H8S football school. A total of 271 penalty kicks were taken throughout the day. Among all participants, an FC Barcelona shirt signed by Aitana Bonmatí and two additional blaugrana kits were raffled. A gift was also presented to the two goalkeepers responsible for stopping the participants’ penalties. In addition to the solidarity tickets, fundraising was complemented by a “Row 0” donation option and the sale of AFA Vallès merchandising, as the association celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.

This new edition of “Marca-li un Gol a l’Alzheimer!” was attended by Josep Maria Félez, president of PB Sant Cugat; Anna Fitó, president of AFA Vallès; and Josep Maria Vallès, mayor of Sant Cugat del Vallès. Other members of the City Council were also present, including Bernat Picornell, second deputy mayor for Rights, City Development, Commerce and Safety, and Núria Fernández, councillor for Health, Volunteering and Language Policy, as well as representatives of organizations collaborating with the event. The PB Sant Andreu de la Barca (Federació Baix Llobregat), twinned with PB Sant Cugat, was also in attendance.
