The city of Paris lived another great European night in blaugrana key, and again the penyes movement had a large dose of prominence with their passion. In total, more than half a thousand supporters travelled to the French capital to support the team; first by making their voices heard and wearing their colors in the streets of the city, and then by cheering the team on during the match.
Once again, supporters traveled from different parts of the world to support the team in such an important match. From the American continent, with PB Corazón Blaugrana Bogotá, PB San Diego or PB Washington DC, to Asia with the PB Hanoi or Africa with the PB Marrakech and the PB Tunis, passing through the entire European continent with PB Berlin Culé, Fan Club Barça Polska, PB Cracòvia, PB Roma, PB Napoli, PB London, PB Thessaloniki, PB Atenes, PB Liège or PB Burdeos, among many others. Also, from Catalan lands many supporters’ clubs travelled, such as PB Front 532, PB Almogàvers, PB Palafrugell, PB Amposta, PB El Perelló, PB Riera de Gaiàor PB Solsona i Comarca, among others.
The PB Paris was the host
The supporters had already begun to arrive in Paris the day before, and throughout the day of the match they wore the blaugrana colors in the most emblematic places of the city. With just a few hours to go before the starting whistle, most of them went to the Seguin Sound bar, where the Penya Blaugrana de Paris had set up a meeting point for all the FC Barcelona supporters present in the French capital.
There, the chants, and the complicity between all the culers generated the necessary atmosphere to go together to the Parc des Princes with all the energy to cheer on the team. The great final victory rounded off one of those trips that the supporters’ clubs and all the culers will remember for a long time to come. In the second leg, next week in Montjuic, the penyes collective will once again mobilize to take the team to the Champions League semifinals.
