The Penya Barcelonista de Calaf i Comarca (Federació Anoia, Alt Penedès i Garraf) organized the 21st edition of the 3×3 Football Championship – 17th Jordi Borràs Memorial, once again achieving resounding success in both participation and organization. Over the course of four days, the Barcelona ’92 Square in Calaf hosted more than 200 3-on-3 football matches, played across all categories from “babys” to seniors. In total, nearly 400 players took part, distributed among 86 teams. This edition marked the 17th year of the Jordi Borràs Memorial, once again honoring a member of the penyes’ board who passed away in an accident 17 years ago.
As usual, the 3×3 Championship of PB Calaf i Comarca mobilized the residents of Calaf, who practically consider this event the start of summer in the town, but also attracted participants from other parts of Central Catalonia. The tournament faced a setback due to heavy rain on Saturday afternoon but was able to reschedule the youth matches thanks to the veteran teams, who generously gave up their slots – a gesture that PB Calaf and Comarca deeply appreciated.

Excitement on the pitch and festive atmosphere in the square
The PB Calaf i Comarca 3×3 Football Championship is played on a closed 20×10 meter pitch, set up with support from the Barcelona Provincial Council and the Calaf Town Hall. The goals are similar in size to those used in roller hockey. Matches last only 10 minutes and the game never stops, keeping the excitement alive until the very end. In fact, one of the tournament’s trademarks is the countdown of the final 60 seconds accompanied by the theme music from the British series Benny Hill. Outside the pitch, the atmosphere remains festive from start to finish, with strong support for all participating teams.
In addition to the winning teams in each category, the PB Calaf i Comarca 3×3 Football Championship also awarded the best senior final players in both the men’s and women’s categories, which this year were Julià López and Marina Mas. Furthermore, three penya sweatshirts and a FC Barcelona new 2025-26 kit were raffled among all participants. Once again, the members of PB Calaf i Comarca, led by their president Edgar Cardona, celebrated the great success of the initiative and thanked the local businesses that contributed. The blaugrana entity once again demonstrated its deep roots in the town and throughout the region.
