The recently started 2024-25 season has already experienced its first big gathering of FC Barcelona supporters’ clubs. It was the XXI Meeting of Penyes of Tarragona Nord, which took place last Sunday in the town of La Selva del Camp. The event was organised by the Federació de Penyes de Tarragona Nord and the host organization, the Penya Barcelonista de La Selva del Camp, which also celebrated its 25th anniversary. The Confederació Mundial de Penyes also collaborated in the meeting, which brought together more than 100 supporters representing twelve supporters’ clubs from the Federació Tarragona Nord.
The XXI Meeting of Penyes of Tarragona Nord was attended by Antonio Escudero, social vice-president of FC Barcelona; Josep Borrull, president of the Federació de Penyes de Tarragona Nord; Joel Prats, president of the PB La Selva del Camp; Salva Torres, vice-president of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes; Jordi Brull, member of the Social Commission of FC Barcelona; and Pere Valentí Mora, member of the Agrupació de Jugadors. The mayor of La Selva del Camp, Josep Masdeu, and his first deputy mayor, Enric Roberto, also participated in the event.
A morning full of activity
The event got underway early in the morning with a visit to the Coselva oil mill in La Selva del Camp. Afterwards, it was the turn of the historical dissemination with the conference “Ambaixades: Història de les Penyes”, which was led by Salva Torres and aroused great interest among all the supporters who were present. his was followed by the official reception of the FC Barcelona supporters’ delegation at the Town Hall of La Selva del Camp, which gave way to the big final party.
During this event, the speeches of the main guests took place, as well as the exchange of gifts from the PB La Selva del Camp and the Federació Tarragona Nord with the rest of the entities present. In addition, the PB La Selva del Camp blew out the candles of its 25th anniversary, amid a festive atmosphere full of FC Barcelona passion that marked the whole event.
