One of the signs of the deep roots of the FC Barcelona penyes in their localities is the organization of popular activities that mobilize not only their members, but also many more people from these communities. Among them, physical activity plays an important role, as can be seen in the walks, races and similar that are carried out throughout the territory and have a large participation. These are events that combine sport, healthy habits and blaugrana passion.
The Penya Barcelonista de Breda (Federació Gironès, La Selva, Garrotxa i Pla de l’Estany) is one of those that has consolidated its initiative: the “Crematorrons” (Nougat burner), a race always scheduled during the month of January, once Christmas is over. This year, the event attracted more than 400 participants, a figure that sets a new record for Catalan penya and consolidates the success of the activity. Those registered can run or walk the course, so the race is suitable for all ages and levels, and they also participate in drawings for gifts of all kinds. In the “Crematorrons”, the PB Breda has the collaboration of the Town Hall of Breda and the Regional Council of La Selva, as well as several local businesses.

Children are the protagonists in Santpedor
For its part, the Penya Blaugrana de Santpedor (Federació Bages, Berguedà i Cerdanya) once again participated in the organization of the 27th School Trail of this town, organized by the City Council of Santpedor and the Sports Council of Bages. Boys and girls born between the years 2009 and 2021 participated in the event, with a total of 17 races in different categories, which gave way to a final 5 km race aimed at over 16 years old. The president of the PB Santpedor, Antoni Valverde, was the highest representative of the blaugrana entity, which provided gifts to the children participating in this sports day. The mayor of Santpedor, Agustí Comas, was also present. One more year, the great success of participation was valued, which shows that the School Trail is an activity more than consolidated in this town of the Bages shire.
