The Penya Barcelonista de Ciutadella (Federació Balears) commemorated its 40th anniversary last Saturday with a big party held in this Menorcan town. The event, led by the president of the host penya, Carles Gener, and his board of directors, brought together about 120 people at Es Nàutic de Ciutadella. The president of the Federació de Penyes Barcelonistes de les Illes Balears, Oscar Escoda, was present, as well as the presidents of the PB Ferreries, Joan Ignasi Truyol, and the PB Alaior, Lluís Vidal. All of them wanted to join the PB Ciutadella on this special occasion. Other entities of the Federació Balears as the PB Santa Eulària des Riu, among others, also participated.
The 40th anniversary of the PB Ciutadella also had the special presence of former player Joan Josep Estella, member of the Agrupació de Jugadors del FC Barcelona, and former player agent Josep Maria Minguella, who one more year accepted the invitation of the Menorcan blaugrana entity to celebrate this special day together. All of them visited the headquarters of the penya to sign the official book, and then moved to the venue of the anniversary. During the event, there were speeches by the highest representatives of the entities present, as well as the exchange of gifts to commemorate these 40 years of the PB Ciutadella.
