Young people are one of the priority groups for Barça supporters’ clubs when planning their charitable actions, especially during such special dates as the Christmas season. Recently, we saw a clear example with the Peña Corazón Blaugrana Bogotá (FCB World Federation), which carried out its initiative “Sponsor a Child.” At the beginning of December, the Colombian penyabegan collecting donations to sponsor as many children as possible from the Fundación La Esperanza de Amaly in their city. Thanks to the involvement of the supporters, the proposal turned out to be a complete success.
At the end of the year, several members of PB Corazón Blaugrana Bogotá visited this organization and spent an entire afternoon with about twenty children. Thanks to the donations received, the supporters distributed first-team Barça jerseys among the youngsters, played with them, and offered them a snack. It was a day that filled these children –who have experienced situations of abuse, mistreatment, or abandonment– with hope and smiles, allowing them to enjoy a very special Christmas gift. In this way, the PB Corazón Blaugrana Bogotá demonstrated the strength of its community and its social commitment to those most in need.
