The PB Delhi NCR helps underprivileged children in its city

Several of its members visited the DMRC Children’s Home in New Delhi, where they organized activities for the children and served them lunch

The Penya Blaugrana Delhi NCR, the main FC Barcelona supporters’ club in the Indian capital, recently demonstrated the values of solidarity inherent to the entire FC Barcelona penyes movement. Several members of the penya carried out a charity event at the DMRC Children’s Home, which cares for children living on the streets of New Delhi, and offered a very special day for all participants. The members of the PB Delhi NCR organized some recreational activities that they shared with the children and gave them gifts as well as Barça and football merchandising. Afterwards, the culers served lunch to the users of the Children’s Home, who were especially grateful for this visit of the PB Delhi NCR.

This solidarity action was carried out thanks to donations from members of the Indian supporters’ club, collected mainly during the screening of the match between Barça and Atlético de Madrid last December. As for the merchandising and gifts that were distributed among the children, the blaugrana entity also had the collaboration of La Liga. With this action, the PB Delhi NCR fulfills its objective of generating positive impacts in its community and inspiring others to follow the same path and help the population in need. The supporters’ club plans to organize more initiatives like this in the future, in addition to continuing to offer match screenings and social and sporting activities to the entire culé community in New Delhi.
