FC Barcelona Women’s first title of the season counted once again on the participation of the penyes movement. Thanks to this, the Estadio Municipal de Butarque roared with each of the five goals scored by Pere Romeu’s team against Real Madrid to win the Spanish Super Cup. The geographical proximity meant that several entities of the Federación de Peñas Barcelonistas de Madrid were present, such as the PB Móstoles, the PB Guadalajara, the PB Cercle Català or the PB Valdemoro, among others. These supporters’ clubs also participated in a reception for the blaugrana team at the hotel, which was attended by representatives of the Club, and in which the players thanked the fans for their presence.
Also noteworthy was the presence in Leganés of several penyes from the Federación de Castilla y León, such as the PB Salamanca or the PB La Granja and Valsaín, among others. Some of the most loyal penyes to the women’s team were also present, which in their case traveled even more kilometers to support the FC Barcelona players. These were the PB Almogàvers, the PB Almogàvers Empordà, the PB Tsunami Blaugrana and the PB Totes Unides Fem Força, which also organized a pre-match meeting in Butarque to welcome the players on their arrival at the stadium. The 5-0 win over the top rival rounded off a day to remember for all the fans who went to the stadium. After lifting the title, the entire squad and staff shared the celebration with the Barça crowd.
