The Cultural Week of El Papiol, which is celebrated during the months of April and May, once again counted on the participation of the local FC Barcelona supporters’ club, the Penya Blaugrana del Papiol (Federació Baix Llobregat). Last Saturday, the penya organized a day with several activities that brought together a good number of Barça supporters and counted with the participation of a dozen penyes from the federations of Baix Llobregat and Vallès. Among those present were Antoni Guil, president of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes; Vicenç Notari, president of the Federació Baix Llobregat; Jordi Murillo, delegate of the Advisory Council in Baix Llobregat; and Joan Borràs, mayor of El Papiol. The president of the PB El Papiol, Antoni Lorenz, led the host club.
The day began with the traditional climb to the Castle of El Papiol, located in the highest part of the town and declared a cultural asset of national interest. Afterwards, in the Sala de l’Esbarjo, there was a blaugrana discussion with the participation of journalists Marçal Lorente and Domènec Garcia, together with former player Rafael Zuviría, member of the Agrupació de Jugadors. It was a relaxed meeting in which FC Barcelona current affairs were discussed, along with some anecdotes from the past thanks to the testimony of Zuviría. The activities of the PB El Papiol culminated with a fraternal lunch outdoors with all the guests.
