Once again, the Peña Familia Blaugrana de Panamá (Federación Mundo) has shown why it is one of the FC Barcelona supporters’ clubs with the greatest spirit of solidarity. On the occasion of the World Day Against Child Labour, celebrated on 12 June, the Central American penya took part in an action organised by the Committee for the Eradication of Child Labour and the Protection of Adolescent Workers (CETIPPAT) in their country, with the aim of helping children from disadvantaged families. And it has done so with the help of all its members.
Backpacks, pencil cases and school supplies
Specifically, the PB Familia Blaugrana de Panamá has contributed to this solidarity initiative with the delivery of backpacks, pencil cases and school supplies. Everything has been destined to school-age children at risk of social exclusion, who are beneficiaries of the Scholarships for the Eradication of Child Labour granted by the Panamanian Ministry of Labour. For this action, the PB Familia Blaugrana de Panamá has counted on the contributions of all its supporters, who since the beginning of June have participated in the donation campaign to collect the materials or receive the economic contributions to buy them.
The delivery took place on 23 June at the headquarters of the Ministry of Labour in the West Panama region. There, representatives of the Panamanian penya handed out the backpacks and other materials to the children participating in this initiative. The PB Familia Blaugrana de Panamá also received certificate of recognition from the Ministry for its involvement in this day. This is the third consecutive year that the blaugrana supporters’ club has participated in the World Day Against Child Labour in their country.
