The PB Totana remains committed to people deprived of liberty

The supporters’ club from Murcia organized its traditional futsal tournament at the Murcia Penitentiary Centre, as well as a socio‑educational outing with the CIS Guillermo Miranda

The Peña Barcelonista de Totana (Federación de Peñas Barcelonistas de Murcia) continues to develop its projects within the Comprehensive Support Programme for People Deprived of Liberty, carried out both at the Murcia Penitentiary Centre and at the Guillermo Miranda Social Reintegration Centre. In the first of them, the Barça supporters’ club organized its traditional year‑end futsal tournament, while a group of participants from Guillermo Miranda SRC recently enjoyed their first socio‑educational outing. The president of PB Totana and the Federación de Peñas Barcelonistas de Murcia, Juan Carrión, is one of the driving forces behind all these projects.

Futsal Tournament to close the year

As part of the “Ilusión Solidaria” project, which is carried out at the Murcia Penitentiary Centre, the PB Totana wrapped up 2025 with the celebration of its already traditional futsal tournament. It was a triangular competition featuring teams from the FC Barcelona School and the Peña Barcelonista de Totana team, all of them made up of inmates. The winner was the Team 1 of the PB Totana School within the penitentiary facility.

Beyond the result, the day was marked by camaraderie, teamwork and friendship—fundamental values that were evident both on and off the court. The event concluded with a long collective round of applause, acknowledging the sportsmanship and effort of all participants, along with best wishes for the year ahead. The PB Totana continues this project as part of its commitment to sport as a tool for inclusion and social transformation.

First outing from CIS Guillermo Miranda

Meanwhile, a total of 13 individuals from the Guillermo Miranda Social Reintegration Centre recently took part in the first scheduled outing of the year, a socio‑educational activity aimed at strengthening social reintegration processes. This outing is part of the programme run by PB Totana, whose goal is to encourage the development of social skills, coexistence and active participation in everyday environments—essential elements for successful social integration.

Throughout the day, participants carried out activities in a natural environment of high ecological value in the Region of Murcia, which helped promote responsibility, teamwork and respect for nature, while also fostering personal and emotional well‑being. The CIS Guillermo Miranda highlights the importance of collaborating with community organizations and stresses the value of such outings, which reinforce the commitment to socio‑educational work and initiatives that promote social inclusion and equal opportunities.
