The youngest “culés” demonstrated once again their skills at the controllers in the 6th eSports Tournament of the Penya Barcelonista de Sant Joan Despí (Federació de Penyes del Baix Llobregat). The competition took place last Friday at the Casal de Joves El Bulevard de Sant Joan Despí, an entity with which the penya collaborates on a regular frequency, and brought together youngsters aged 12 and older. The format of the tournament was four groups and then two semifinals that culminated in the final. All the matches, played with the EA Sports FC 24 videogame, were very exciting and were played with a great atmosphere among all the participants.
The eSports competitions are a way to bring together the youngest and share the blaugrana passion that supporters’ clubs have fostered in recent years. Penya Barcelonista Sant Antoni Vilamajor’s (Federació Vallès), for example, has also been holding its tournament for three editions now, with the help of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes. In March, Penya Barcelonista Ripollet, from the same federation, will also hold an eSports tournament with supporters, members and fans, and will also be attended by the Confederació.
