The Penya Barcelonista d’Agramunt i Comarca, which belongs to the Federació de Penyes de Lleida Sud i la Franja, celebrated its 50th anniversary in style last Friday. The supporters’ club organized an evening full of activities that culminated with a gala dinner that brought together 270 people and took place at the Pavelló Firal de Agramunt. The event was attended by FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta, who was accompanied by Josep Ignasi Macià, board member of the Social Area; Juan Manuel Asensi, president of the Agrupació Barça Jugadors; and members of the Social Commission Lluís Pérez and Genís Dalmau. Also in attendance was Claudi Bosch, president of the Federació de Penyes de Lleida Sud i la Franja, as well as the president of the PB Agramunt i Comarca, Joan Ramon Majoral.
Cultural and historical visits
To commemorate this 50th anniversary, the PB Agramunt i Comarca organized an evening full of cultural activities, with guided visits to the Nougat and Chocolate Museum, the old town of Agramunt, the Espai Guinovart, the Romanesque church of Santa Maria and the Civil War air raid shelter. Afterwards, the delegation was welcomed at the Town Hall with the traditional “Ball de l’Àliga” (Dance of the Eagle), and then signed the Book of Honor in the presence of the mayoress of Agramunt, Sílvia Fernández.
The gala dinner put the finishing touch to the celebration. Up to 30 FC Barcelona penyes were represented, who wanted to accompany the PB Agramunt i Comarca on such a special night. During the event, the half-century of the penya was reviewed in an emotional way, and the different speeches congratulated this milestone. All attendees thanked the PB Agramunt i Comarca for this great evening full of blaugrana passion on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.
