Children’s Campus of PB Lorraine together with PB Cinc Copes

The French supporters’ club has traveled to Barcelona with some of its young players for a training camp and other activities.

The promotion of grassroots football, and formative sport in general, is one of the defining values of the Barcelona supporters’ clubs movement. Within the scope of the FCB World Federation, one of the entities that has bet on it the most is undoubtedly the Penya Blaugrana Lorraine, which since 2014 has developed what has ended up being a real football academy. This week, the French peña has traveled to Barcelona with about twenty of its young players between 12 and 14 years old, along with their respective families, to carry out a football campus, as well as other tourist, sports and leisure activities. All of this, of course, with a clear blaugrana dye.

Agreement with PB Cinc Copes

During their stay in Barcelona, the children of the PB Lorraine carry out an hour and a half training session every morning. For this, they have had the collaboration of the Penya Barcelonista Cinc Copes, which, among other things, has given them its usual training field. In addition, the club has also played two friendly matches in eleven-a-side and seven-a-side football.

On the other hand, the club has organized various activities for the young players and their families during their stay, such as a bike ride through Barceloneta and a tour of the most iconic spots in the city. The latter included a treasure hunt that added even more fun to the experience.

Football with a social value

PB Lorraine not only promotes grassroots soccer in its region, but also carries out important social work. The municipality in which it is located, Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy, is inhabited by poor families, and the club offers an opportunity for their sons and daughters to learn to play and perfect their technique.

The PB Lorraine’s grassroots football structure has about 180 children. On the one hand, the club’s teams comprise 55 players between the pre-benjamin and infantile categories, while the club’s Academy, with a higher level, has eleven teams up to the cadet category and groups 125 children.
