PB Alts Tatras celebrates its 10th anniversary in Barcelona

The Slovakian penya held a commemorative party at the headquarters of the Confederation and attended the Barça-Sevilla game.

If last weekend was already a great one for all Barça fans with the victory over Sevilla and the extension of the lead at the top of the classification, it was even more special for one supporters’ club: the Penya Barcelonista Eslovaca dels Alts Tatras, which commemorated the tenth anniversary of its foundation. In order to celebrate it, the penya, which belongs to the FCB World Federation, brought more than 60 members to the city of Barcelona for a full weekend of activities in the blaugrana spirit.

Dinner at the Confederació Mundial de Penyes headquarters

After arriving in Barcelona on Friday, the PB Alts Tatras spent the first part of the weekend sightseeing and also visiting the FC Barcelona Museum, but the highlight of their celebration came on Saturday afternoon. Thanks to the efforts of the FCB World Federation, the Slovakian supporters’ club was received at the headquarters of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes, which organized a big commemorative party for them.

With the presence of Antoni Guil, president of the Confederació, as well as the members of the Penyes Council, Vicenç Notari, Salva Torres and Josep Antoni Martín, the evening was marked by a great festive and blaugrana atmosphere. Led by their president, Peter Bellás, the members of the PB Alts Tatras sung Barça chants and exchanged gifts with the members of the Confederació, and obviously blew out the candles for their 10th anniversary.

Culmination at the Camp Nou

On Sunday, the Slovakian supporters were welcomed by FC Barcelona’s Social Department and then attended the double sporting event at the FC Barcelona facilities. First, they enjoyed the basketball team’s victory against Valencia, and then they celebrated in style the victory of the men’s first team against Sevilla. It was the perfect culmination for a weekend that the PB Alts Tatras will take time to forget and hopes to repeat in the future.
