Great success for the 2nd Padbol and Children’s Futsal Tournament of the PB Amics d’Ascó

More than 60 boys and girls aged between 10 and 12 took part in the futsal competition, while the padbol tournament featured 14 participating pairs.

After the warm reception received by the initiative when it was launched last year, Penya Barcelonista Amics d’Ascó (Federació de Penyes de les Terres de l’Ebre) organised the 2nd edition of its Padbol and Children’s Futsal Tournament last weekend. Over two days, the penya filled the facilities of the padel courts in Ascó with adults and children, thereby consolidating another success in terms of participation and attendance for this activity full of sport, Barça spirit and, above all, a festive atmosphere.

Nearly one hundred participants

The Children’s Futsal Tournament of PB Amics d’Ascó showed its popularity by bringing together a total of 60 boys and girls aged between 10 and 12, who came from different parts of this region of the Terres de l’Ebre. Meanwhile, the Padbol Tournament featured a total of 28 adult participants divided into 14 pairs. Both competitions included an initial group stage, followed by knockout rounds and the grand final. The penya awarded trophies to the top three finishers and, in the case of the futsal tournament, also to the top scorer and the goalkeeper who conceded the fewest goals.

The Padbol and Children’s Futsal Tournament is organised entirely by PB Amics d’Ascó, led by its president Gerard Roigé. During the activity, the penya raffled the new official FC Barcelona shirt, as well as a ball and a CAT plush toy. The organisation also offered dinner and musical entertainment, completing an activity that once again mobilised a large part of the municipality. PB Amics d’Ascó thus demonstrates its roots in the local area and its capacity to energise both adults and children.
