This year, the FC Barcelona Supporters’ Clubs Meeting of Castilla y León will have a first-class attraction: the visit of Hristo Stoichkov. Thanks to the Peña Leonesa del FC Barcelona -host of the event-, the Federación de Peñas Barcelonistas de Castilla y León and the Supporters’ Clubs World Confederation, the Bulgarian star will visit the city of León on September 9 to share with the supporters’ clubs of this region a day that will surely be memorable.
PB Leonesa, which in this event will also commemorate its 30th anniversary, has confirmed the presence of Stoichkov at a reception at the City Hall of León, as well as his participation in a subsequent colloquium in the same Leonese consistory. The Bulgarian is also expected to sign copies of his autobiographical book to all those who wish to attend. The day, which will include other surprises yet to be revealed, will culminate with a dinner in tribute to the member of the Dream Team with the participation of supporters’ clubs and authorities.
Strong bond
This will not be the first time that Hristo Stoichkov visits Castilla y León to meet with the supporters’ clubs collective of this territory. In October 2018, the Bulgarian visited the city of Salamanca by the hand of the supporters’ club that bears his name: the Peña Barcelonista Hristo Stoichkov, from Ledesma. On the other hand, in 2020 a representation of the Federación de Peñas de Castilla y León traveled to the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia, to attend the presentation of the sportswear line marketed by the former Barça player.
This special bond that unites Stoichkov with the supporters’ clubs of Castilla y León will be reflected once again in the XVIII FC Barcelona Supporters’ Clubs Meeting of Castilla y León.
