Representatives of the Consultative Council were also present at the meeting, at which the current situation of the movement was reviewed and future projects were discussed.

The site of the World Confederation of Supporters’ Clubs was the setting, last Sunday, for the first Plenary Session of the Council de Penyes of this year 2023. Almost all the members of the Council, representing the 29 territorial federations that make up the organization, as well as members of the Penyes Council, who were invited by the Confederation itself, took part in the meeting, either in person or online.

During the meeting, a review was made of the current situation of the World Confederation of Supporters’ Clubs and the various projects that involve all the federations, supporters’ clubs and the members that it represents. In this sense, the role of the three Working Commissions, which continue to address their respective fields of action, was highlighted.

The Institutional and Management Commission focused on organizational matters, as well as the management of the Penyista Card 2022/23. The Economic and Marketing Commission reported on the Digital Identity launched by the World Confederation of Penyes, and the specific advantages offered by the organisation. Finally, the Sociocultural Commission reviewed the activities currently carried out by the Confederation, as well as the events and receptions that it organises or in which it collaborates. This commission also includes solidarity actions.

The Plenary Session was led by Antoni Guil, president of the World Confederation of Supporters’ Clubs, who thanked the members of the Penyes Council for their presence and underlined the willingness to engage with FC Barcelona, for which the supporters’ organization is strongly committed.
