Penya Barça Cambrils (Federació de Penyes Tarragona Nord) has once again demonstrated its strong spirit of solidarity by getting involved once more in the “Deixa’t Prendre el Pèl” initiative. The 10th edition of this charity event, held at the Port of Cambrils, featured the participation of the board members of the Barça supporters’ club as volunteers, who oversaw selling tickets for the different scheduled activities. In this way, PB Cambrils has once again been present at an initiative that brings together several local organisations every year and has once more proved to be a great success.
This year, the 10th edition of the “Deixa’t Prendre el Pèl” initiative allocated all its proceeds to the Cambrils Autism Association, which supports families living with autism. In total, €13,258 were raised through the various scheduled activities as well as other donations and contributions. The main feature of the event is the offer of haircuts by professionals from the sector, along with boat trips around the port and bachata classes, among other activities. The public response was once again very positive.
A penya full of solidarity
PB Cambrils participation in the “Deixa’t Prendre el Pèl” initiative adds to the intense charitable activity that the Tarragona-based supporters’ club carries out throughout the year with health and charity organisations from Cambrils. Its involvement each year in the Swim for ELA event, which raises funds for the fight against this disease, has become a tradition, and it also never misses its annual appointment with “La Marató de 3Cat”, organising a charity vermouth event together with the local RCD Espanyol penya. In this way, the organisation chaired by Jordina Font Borràs has made social commitment one of its defining hallmarks.
