PB Camprodon celebrates 45 years by hosting the 21st Meeting of Penyes of Osona and Ripollès

The event, which brought together representatives from 14 penyes in the area, included the conference “Barça i Catalunya: Els orígens de la simbiosi”.

Penya Barcelonista Camprodon i Comarca enjoyed a very special weekend to mark the celebration of its 45th anniversary, as it hosted the 21st Meeting of Penyes of Osona and Ripollès. The event, which took place in the towns of Camprodon and Molló, filled the valley with the blaugrana colours thanks to the presence of representatives from 14 penyes of the Federació de Penyes d’Osona i el Ripollès, who shared a day

Conference “Barça i Catalunya: Els orígens de la simbiosi”

The programme began with the presentation of the conference “Barça i Catalunya: Els orígens de la simbiosi”, the first part of the historical series offered by the Confederació Mundial de Penyes. The session took place in the assembly hall of Camprodon Town Hall and was led by Salva Torres, vice-president of the Confederació, with Aksana Vayevoda in charge of the technical section. Attendees were able to learn more about the close link between the history of FC Barcelona and Catalonia’s social and political reality, specifically during the early years after the Club’s foundation.

21st Meeting of Penyes of Osona and Ripollès

The following day, the activities of the 21st Meeting of Penyes of Osona and Ripollès got under way at the headquarters of PB Camprodon i Comarca, where participants were welcomed to the event. Notable attendees included Dionís Crusellas, president of the Federació de Penyes d’Osona i el Ripollès; Antonio Escudero, vice-president of FC Barcelona; Antonio Olmo, former player and member of the Agrupació de Jugadors del FC Barcelona; Jaume Vila, president of PB Camprodon i Comarca; Xavier Guitart, mayor of Camprodon; and Josep Coma, mayor of Molló. All of them signed the penya’s book of honour.

The blaugrana delegation then travelled to Molló, where a parade was held with the banners of the various attending penyes. This was followed by an official reception at Molló Town Hall, with an exchange of gifts and the signing of the Book of Honour. Finally, the fellowship lunch was the highlight of this 21st Meeting of Penyes of Osona and Ripollès, together with the celebration of the 45th anniversary of PB Camprodon i Comarca. All attendees highlighted the penya’s long-standing track record, which, with nearly 400 members, is a clear driving force for support for Barça in its territory.
