PB Faió celebrates its 16th anniversary with a weekend full of activities

The penya of the Federació Lleida Sud i La Franja reaffirmed its blaugrana spirit by bringing together nearly 250 people during a festive weekend full of sporting, recreational and social activities.

The Penya Blaugrana Faió (Federació Lleida Sud i La Franja) experienced a very special and intense weekend to mark the celebration of its 16th anniversary. Over two days, the Barça supporters’ organisation carried out a broad programme of activities in which it once again demonstrated its strength and its great ability to mobilise members, supporters and residents of the town of Faió.

Activities for all ages

The commemoration began last Friday with the 7th PB Faió Padel Tie Break, which brought together 17 pairs in a sporting afternoon marked by a great atmosphere and the excitement of competition. The celebration continued the following day with several activities that were very well received. The card tournament featured 16 pairs, while the club’s 1st Rummikub tournament brought together 20 participants, and 10 people took part in the chess tournament. In addition, 20 boys and girls participated in the children’s futsal tournament.

The highlight of the day came with the traditional community dinner, which brought together 140 people for an evening of celebration and togetherness. One of the most special moments of the evening was the presence of the “giant” Lamine de Faió, based on Barça star Lamine Yamal. Attendees were able to watch a moving report on the journeys it has made over the past year through various towns in Catalonia with the “Eduard” Giants Association of Ivars d’Urgell. The supporters’ club also held raffles among those present and introduced its new members.

The high level of participation in all the activities and the excellent atmosphere experienced throughout the weekend turned this 16th anniversary of PB Faió into a true celebration. It is an event that has already become one of the most important and eagerly awaited celebrations of the year in Faió’s activity calendar.
