PB San Diego raises $1,000 during the Clásico

The Californian supporters’ club (FCB World Federation) organized a new solidarity raffle with all the proceeds going to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, which fights breast cancer.

On the occasion of the Clásico played last Sunday, the Penya Blaugrana de San Diego (FCB World Federation), among those attending the viewing of the match, in the usual premises of the U.S. supporters’ club. Although the local time in California was 7:15 a.m. at kickoff, over 150 members and friends of the PB San Diego gathered to watch the match and participated in this solidarity initiative. In total, $1,000 was raised, which will go to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, dedicated to helping breast cancer patients (World Breast Cancer Day was this Wednesday) and also to research in the fight against this disease.

It is not the first time that PB San Diego carries out an action like this for the Clásico. Last season, also around this time, the supporters’ club already organized a solidarity raffle on the occasion of the Barça-Real Madrid match to help the Susan G. Komen Foundation. During the Clásico played in the second half of the season, the PB San Diego organized among its members a collection of clothes and shoes to send to the Casa de Cuna Católica “Troncoso y Berruecos” orphanage, located in Tijuana.
