As is now tradition, Penya Barcelonista Villabalter celebrated the San Isidro festival by organizing two of its most popular initiatives focused on young people: the Drawing and Painting Contest, which reached its 22nd edition, and the Football 3 Showcase “Josep Maria Profitós”, which this year held its 15th edition. For both activities, the penya had the support of the Federación de Peñas de Castilla y León, the Confederació Mundial de Penyes, FC Barcelona, and the Town Council of San Andrés del Rabanedo. In this municipality, PB Villabalter’s initiatives already have a regular place in the San Isidro festival program.
22nd Drawing and Painting Contest
The first activity took place on Friday at the House of Culture, where a dozen boys and girls showed their creativity in the 22nd Drawing and Painting Contest organized by PB Villabalter. Divided into children’s and junior categories, the participants created Barça-themed drawings in a season marked by the first team’s successes. The jury, made up of PB Villabalter president Jorge Moreno together with board members Recaredo Fernández, Julio Alonso, and Fernando Barazón, awarded gift cards to the top two finishers in each category, and all participants received blaugrana gifts. The local mayor of Villabalter, Jesús Cuenco, supported the activity with his presence.

15th Football 3 Showcase “Josep Maria Profitós”
The following day, the activity moved to the Barcaduro court in San Andrés del Rabanedo, where the 15th Football 3 Showcase “Josep Maria Profitós” organized by PB Villabalter took place. Six teams and a total of 24 players took part in the U-8 and U-10. The PB Villabalter president, Jorge Moreno, officiated the matches, and board members Recaredo Fernández, Julio Alonso, and Fernando Barazón were also present. Trophies were awarded to the winners and runners-up in each category, and everyone received blaugrana gifts. Through this initiative, PB Villabalter seeks to promote grassroots football and spread the values associated with Barça among younger generations. It also pays tribute to Josep Maria Profitós, a prominent figure in the Barça penyes movement and a great promoter of grassroots football, with whom PB Villabalter had a very close relationship.
