Penyes show off the blaugrana colours at local fairs

PSB Calella, PB Mataró, PB Benissa Avi Joan Casals and PB Vilafranca del Penedès had their own stands in their respective towns.

In recent weeks, four penyes from different regions have demonstrated their strong local roots by taking part in fairs and showcases for local associations. At all these events, the Barça supporters’ organisations made their presence felt by filling their stands with the blaugrana colours, welcoming visitors interested in learning more about their activities and, in some cases, buying penya merchandise. For these fairs, the supporters’ clubs received support from the Confederació Mundial de Penyes and their respective regional federations.

Blaugrana activities in the Federació Maresme

The Penya Solera Barcelonista de Calella took part in the Calella and Alt Maresme Fair with a stand packed with Barça colours and historical FC Barcelona documents. During the fair, the penya paid a small tribute to Eulogio Martínez, a Barça goalscorer in the late 1950s, by inviting some of his relatives who live in Calella. PSB Calella also organised a quiz about the historical images on its stand, with a prize of two tickets to a Barça women’s match at the Estadi Johan Cruyff.

Meanwhile, the Penya Barcelonista de Mataró once again took part in its town’s Entity Fair, displaying the Barça colours with flags and scarves on its stand. The supporters’ club, chaired by Ramon Pruna, who is also president of the Federació de Penyes del Maresme, offered visitors information about its activities and trips to Barça matches. It also displayed the LaLiga trophy, thanks to the collaboration of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes.

Stands in Benissa and Vilafranca del Penedès

Another penya that did not miss the occasion was the Penya Barcelonista Benissa Avi Joan Casals (Federació Comarques d’Alacant), which was once again one of the highlights of the Local Fair of Associations of Benissa. As well as having a stand full of Barça-themed displays and information about the penya, the organisation held a raffle for a replica of the football World Cup trophy, open to all visitors. It also organised a fellowship lunch to further strengthen the Barça community in Benissa.

Finally, the Penya Barcelonista de Vilafranca del Penedès (Federació Anoia, Alt Penedès i Garraf) attended its town’s 2nd Entity Fair with a stand that certainly did not go unnoticed. In addition to showcasing all kinds of supporters’ club merchandise, it displayed the LaLiga trophy, with which visitors could have their photographs taken, and offered face painting for younger Barça fans. This was further evidence of PB Vilafranca’s growing strength following its revival just over a year ago.
