The Confederació Mundial de Penyes continues to work on its organizational structure to offer a better service to the federations and to the members, supporters and fans of FC Barcelona. Recently, the Sociocultural Commission met, which includes the events, activities and solidarity of the federations and the supporters’ clubs themselves. After the meetings of the Institutional and Services Commission and the Economic and Marketing Commission, the closing of the season has now been completed by all of them.
New Work Commissions
A new work line was approved with the creation of three more subcommittees focused on each of the areas covered by this committee. The events subcommittee includes events, culture and the history of the supporters’ clubs movement and the Club. This season, the number of events has exceeded the figure of 1,000, of which the Confederació has participated in more than 350. These numbers show that the federations and their supporters’ clubs continue to organize events with enthusiasm to promote Barcelona in their localities.
The events have been varied and have included culture and history through the different conferences of ‘Barça i Catalunya’, which has already exceeded 130 representations. Sor Lucia Caram, with her project ‘Invulnerables’, also has the support of the Confederació and will continue with this purpose.
In terms of projects, among others, sports activities will continue to be promoted among members, especially the youngest, through grassroots sports and the organisation of various tournaments. Finally, the solidarity shown by most of the federations and penyes, with donations and aid to the most needed, will continue and will be further supported by the Confederació.
