The arrival of the Christmas season underlines even more, if possible, the spirit of solidarity of the FC Barcelona penyes movement, which has already contributed to initiatives such as the “Gran Recapte” or the many campaigns to help those affected by the floods in the Valencian Community. Now, at a particularly sensitive time of the year for them, the youngest are the main recipients, with solidarity toys as the protagonists of these actions.
Aid to families in the Valencian Community
One of the entities that has mobilized is the Penya Tsunami Blaugrana (Fed. Barcelonès Est). Last weekend, its members traveled to the headquarters of the PB Massanassa (Fed. València i Marina Alta) to deliver toys that, subsequently, the Valencian entity will send to children who face a Christmas marked by the effects of the floods just over a month ago. In addition, the PB Tsunami Blaugrana also took advantage of the trip to donate toys and fodder to the pet adoption center Refugio de María, in Sueca.
Another supporters’ club that has been involved is the PB Almansa (Fed. Castilla-La Mancha), which dedicated its VIII Solidarity Day to the collection of toys to send to the areas affected by the floods. Thanks to the involvement of its members, the initiative was a great success and the penya’s premises were filled with toys of all kinds.
Collections for social entities and hospitals
The PB Sueras (Fed. Comarques de Castelló) has also organized its solidarity collection of toys, which remains active until December 15. To date, the penya already has a large number of contributions in its premises. All toys will go to a social entity in Onda. For its part, the PB Tivenys (Fed. Terres de l’Ebre) took advantage of its participation in the Christmas Market in its locality to organize a collection of toys at its stand. They will be destined to Caritas to be distributed to disadvantaged families.

Una d’elles és la PB Miami-Dade, els membres de la qual recentment van fer el seu lliurament a l’Hospital Nicklaus. L’altra és la PB San Diego, que fins al dia 21 de desembre estarà recollint joguines entre els seus membres per als joves pacients de l’Hospital Rady. Properament, la PB Familia Blaugrana de Panamá també farà entrega de joguines i regals a un hospital pediàtric de la seva ciutat.
