The supporters’ clubs dyed Frankfurt in blaugrana colours on the occasion of Eintracht-Barça

Supporters from all over came to the meeting led by the PB Frankfurt, who also hosted a gala dinner on Wednesday evening with the presence of Antonio Freire

Once again, the supporters’ club movement took centre stage when it came to adding a blaugrana touch to an European away match. This time, the central role was played by the host club, the Peña Azulgrana de Frankfurt (FCB World Federation). They organised a pre-game meeting in one of the most iconic places in the German city: Römerberg Square, where the historic City Hall building is located.

With the support and publicity of the World Federation and the Supporters’ Clubs World Confederation, the meeting brought together a large representation of the thousand or so supporters who attended the match against Eintracht. In addition to the PB Frankfurt, other German supporters’ clubs did not want to miss out this Barça visit to their country. There were also French, Belgian, Dutch and Polish supporters’ clubs who took advantage of their geographical proximity to the city. There were also members of supporters’ clubs from the territorial federations of Catalonia and the rest of Spain.

Gala dinner

The events organised by the Peña Azulgrana Frankfurt on the occasion of FC Barcelona’s visit to their city also included a gala dinner the day before the match. The evening was attended by Josep Ignasi Macià, director of the Club’s Social Department, and by Antonio Freire, president of the FCB World Federation. Both were welcomed by the president of the Peña Azulgrana Frankfurt, Jesús Muñoz. The dinner was also attended by members of other supporters’ clubs of the FCB World Federation: PB Stuttgart (Germany), PB London (United Kingdom), PB Fanatiek (Belgium) and PB La Màquina Blaugrana (Netherlands).
