The Peña Barcelonista de Montanejos and the Federació de Penyes Barcelonistes de les Comarques de Castelló organized the 26th Penyes Meeting of Castellón last Saturday, June 4. The event, held for the first time in the beautiful town of Montanejos, brought together around 200 Barça supporters from different parts of the Castellón area. In total, 12 supporters’ clubs from this region took part in the gathering.
A full day of activities
The day began early in the morning with the welcome for the attending penyes and the inauguration of the PB Montanejos headquarters, chaired by Alberto Molinar. Breakfast was served to all participants before the first blaugrana parade of the day through the streets of Montanejos on the way to the Town Hall. The official reception, led by mayor Miguel Sandalines, was attended by Juan Salvador Martí, president of the Federació de Penyes de les Comarques de Castelló; Jordi Brull and Lluís Pérez, members of the Club’s Social Commission; and former Barça player Robert Fernández.
After the reception, which included an exchange of gifts and the signing of the Town Hall’s book of honor, the blaugrana delegation took part in another parade to the venue for the fellowship lunch. There, speeches were delivered and PB Montanejos received a gift from each supporters’ club participating in the 26th Penyes Meeting of Castellón. At the same time, the penyes received a commemorative keepsake from the event. The celebration continued throughout the afternoon in a festive and deeply Barça atmosphere, leaving all attendees with very fond memories.
