The 2nd edition of the PB Dakar Children’s Football Tournament is underway

Eight U13 teams participate in three days of competition that will culminate on June 28, in an event that will also commemorate the 2nd anniversary of the Senegalese supporters’ club

After the success of its first edition, the Penya Blaugrana of Dakar (FCB World Federation) has launched its 2nd Children’s Football Tournament, one of its main initiatives aimed at promoting grassroots football in the capital of Senegal and its region, and also to continue spreading blaugrana passion in this African country. The tournament, which takes place on a pitch in the city of Dakar, has a total of eight participating teams in the children’s category: Penya Blaugrana FC Barcelone, Reubeuss Soccer School, Challenge Foot Soccer School, Mbaye Diouf Soccer School, Entente Centenaire Gibraltar, Fara Gomis Soccer School, Etoile Foot Soccer School and Ousmane Diallo Soccer School.

The first day of the tournament took place on May 3, with the quarter-final playoffs. The four winners will meet again on June 15, when the semi-finals will be played, and the grand final will take place on June 28. As happened a year ago, that date will coincide with the celebration of the 2nd anniversary of the Penya Blaugrana de Dakar, so it will be a very special day. On this occasion, the PB Dakar wanted to demonstrate the concord it promotes between rival supporters by inviting the Peña Madridistas du Sénégal, with whom it will play a gala match before the final of the tournament. The party will end with the presentation of trophies to the winners and the presence of the penya’s anniversary cake.
