Last Saturday, the Penya Barcelonista d’Ulldecona hosted a new assembly of the Federació de Penyes Barcelonistes de les Terres de l’Ebre, of which it is a member. The event took place in the Casa de la Cultura of this town in Montsià and was attended by representatives of almost all the penyes that are part of the federation, with a total of 28. Thus, more than 60 people participated in this meeting, which is a great success.
The assembly was led by the president of the Federació de Penyes de les Terres de l’Ebre, Ramón Fibla, together with the representative of the Advisory Council in this region, Sisco Pinyol. As host, the president of the PB Ulldecona, Jordi Reverté, was present. During the assembly, the last financial year was approved, as well as the new budget. Several topics related to the current affairs of the penyes movement were also discussed, such as the call for elections in the territorial federations, which are scheduled for next September.
The 31st Meeting of Penyes of the Federació Terres de l’Ebre will be held in a month
After this assembly, the Federació de Penyes de les Terres de l’Ebre is already looking forward to its next big event: the XXXI Meeting of Penyes of the Federació Terres de l’Ebre, which will take place on Saturday 7th June in the town of La Ràpita. The event will also commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Penya Barcelonista ‘Vicenç Piera’ de La Ràpita. The programme will include the event “Llegendaris Bàsquet”, led by the vice-president of the Confederació Mundial de Penyes, Salva Torres, and with the presence of legendary basketball players from the FC Barcelona basketball section. Afterwards, there will be a parade of the penyes banners, and the day will culminate with a gala celebration. Hundreds of supporters from all over the region are expected to attend.
