The PB Ciutadella participates in the 2nd Solidarity Meeting of Penyes in its town

The penya joined forces with the supporters’ clubs of Bray Wanderers and Real Madrid, as well as the veterans of the Peña Oriente de Ciutadella, to raise funds for the Aspanob association

On 1 May, the Penya Barcelonista de Ciutadella (Federació de Penyes de les Illes Balears) participated in the 2nd Solidarity Meeting of Penyes of Ciutadella, which once again mobilised this Minorcan town in the fight against childhood cancer. In addition to the blaugrana penya, the Bray Wanderers Ciutadella Supporters -organisers of the initiative-, the Peña Madridista de Ciutadella and the Peña Oriente de Ciutadella took part and played matches between them in which harmony and a good atmosphere were the main protagonists. The setting was the Camp de Son Marçal, where nearly 300 people gathered throughout the morning to join in this good cause.

In addition to the friendly football tournament, the 2nd Solidarity Meeting of Penyes of Ciutadella included musical performances by local artists Joss Crespí, Bep Marqués and Pep Gener, a raffle with the participation of several local Ciutadella businesses and a solidarity “fideuá”. All the money raised through these actions will go to the Association of Parents of Children with Cancer of the Balearic Islands (Aspanob), which works to improve the quality of life of children with cancer and provides economic and social support to their families. This 2nd edition of the Solidarity Meeting of Penyes of Ciutadella has already consolidated the success of this initiative in its locality.
