For yet another year, the penya Gent Blaugrana Meknès (FCB World Federation) held its now traditional Meknès Trophy, a futsal competition which, with this one, has reached its 6th edition. With a total of 10 teams taking part, the tournament featured two groups, with the top two teams of each of them advancing to the semi-finals and then to the final. Over two days, all the matches were played at the Motiv Club sports facilities, near the city of the penya. Of the teams that took part, 9 were from Morocco, with the presence of some ex-professional players, and one came from the city of Lleida.
With a very good atmosphere both on and off the pitch, the 6th Meknès Trophy was once again a success of organisation by the Gent Blaugrana Meknès, led by its president Youssef El Moukhliss. It was also notable for the high quality of the players taking part. In addition, during the tournament, the teams celebrated the fact that Morocco will be one of the host countries for the 2030 World Cup, which had been announced just a couple of days before the start of the competition. In this way, the penya Gent Blaugrana Meknès once again demonstrated the great passion for football in Morocco.
